Type:
Powertrain - Ignition System or Misfire - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description:
Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Conditions
Cause:
Engine running, then the test started and PCM detected that the knock sensor 2 voltage fell below a minimum value at idle or during deceleration, or the Knock sensor value was over 5.0v

Description:
Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Conditions
Cause:
Engine running, then the PCM detected a KS signal outside of a calibrated value.

GM
Type:
Powertrain - Ignition System or Misfire - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description:
Knock Sensor Bank 2 Circuit Conditions
Cause:
Engine runtime over 10 seconds, ECT sensor input more than 104°F, engine allowed to idle for 5 seconds (this allows the PCM to learn the KS minimum noise level), then engine speed more than 2,000 rpm, then the PCM did not detect a difference between the minimum learned engine noise level at idle and the engine noise between 2500-3500 RPM, condition met for five seconds
