4.7 V8 32V (243 Hp) 4WD Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The 4WD variant provides identical V8 power, delivering adequate acceleration (12.8 sec 0-100 km/h) for a large SUV, with enhanced traction for varied conditions and light off-roading.

Fuel Economy

Expect slightly worse fuel economy than the 2WD due to the added weight and drivetrain losses of the 4WD system, making it very thirsty.

Best Use Case: Off-road, towing in challenging conditions, all-weather family transport, mountainous regions.

Pros:

  • • Exceptional V8 engine reliability and durability (2UZ-FE)
  • • Spacious interior with ample cargo capacity
  • • Strong towing capabilities
  • • Comfortable ride for long journeys
  • • Robust build quality and longevity

Cons:

  • • Very poor fuel economy, especially in urban driving
  • • Large size can be cumbersome in city driving and parking
  • • Dated interior and technology by modern standards
