1.5L (99 Hp) CVT Verdict:

Rating 2 stars

Performance Verdict

The CVT paired with the 99 Hp engine prioritizes smoothness over performance. Acceleration will be slow, and the engine may feel strained under load, especially at higher speeds.

Fuel Economy

Fuel consumption of 7.2 l/100 km is slightly higher than the manual 1.5L, but still decent for an automatic MPV, reflecting the CVT's efficiency focus.

Best Use Case: Urban commuting, stop-and-go traffic, drivers prioritizing ease of use.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Spacious 7-seater interior, highly practical for families
  • • Modern and distinctive exterior design for an MPV
  • • Good value for money in its segment
  • • Available turbocharged engine offers adequate power
  • • Comfortable ride for daily commuting

Cons:

  • • Base 1.5L engine is underpowered, especially with a full load
  • • CVT transmission can feel unengaging to some drivers
  • • Torsion beam rear suspension may limit dynamic handling
  • • Brand perception and resale value outside of China may be a concern
  • • Limited advanced safety features compared to international rivals
