5.9 i V6 (265 Hp) Verdict:

Rating 7 stars

Performance Verdict

Despite the 'V6' designation in the trim name (it's actually a 5.9L V8), this engine delivers strong, effortless performance suitable for grand touring, with good acceleration (0-100km/h in 6.6s) and a respectable top speed of 252 km/h. It's more about smooth power delivery than outright sportiness.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is a significant drawback, with high urban consumption (18 l/100 km) typical of a large, naturally aspirated V8 from this era. Extra-urban figures are better (10 l/100 km), but overall running costs for fuel will be high.

Best Use Case: Highway / Grand Touring

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Exceptional exclusivity and bespoke craftsmanship
  • • Luxurious and comfortable grand touring experience
  • • Robust Chrysler V8 engine with ample torque
  • • Distinctive, understated classic British styling
  • • Strong acceleration for its class

Cons:

  • • Very poor fuel economy
  • • High maintenance costs and potential parts scarcity
  • • Niche appeal limits resale market
  • • Dated interior technology compared to contemporaries
  • • Steering feel might be less engaging than sportier rivals
