Dacia Sandero III 1.0 SCe (67 Hp)
Overall Rating
Dacia Sandero:
The Dacia Sandero is a subcompact car/supermini car produced and marketed jointly by the French manufacturer Renault and its Romanian subsidiary Dacia since 2007, currently at its third generation. It has been also marketed as the Renault Sandero in certain markets, such as Russia, Latin America, Iran, Egypt, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Dacia Sandero has been Europe's best selling car several years in a row.
With a slightly shorter wheelbase than the Dacia Logan sedan from which it derives, the Sandero was developed at Renault's Technocentre near Paris, France, in conjunction with the regional engineering centres based in Brazil and Romania. It was revealed for the first time at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, and made its formal market debut in Brazil, as a Renault model, in December 2007, being the first Renault model to debut outside Europe....(Read more on Wikipedia)
III Overview:
Dacia Sandero (III). With 95 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. Weighing only 1025 kg, it’s quite light. Front‑wheel drive delivers efficiency and easy handling. Acceleration is relatively slow (0–100 km/h in 16.7 s). The top speed reaches 158 km/h. A compact car with a rear door that swings upward to provide access to the cargo area. Seating for 5 makes it ideal for daily use.
The Dacia Sandero III received a 2-star Euro NCAP rating in 2021, primarily due to its limited standard safety assistance systems, though it offers decent protection for adult and child occupants in crash tests.
1.0 SCe (67 Hp) Verdict:
Performance Verdict
The 67 Hp naturally aspirated engine is strictly an entry-level option. Its 16.7-second 0-100 km/h acceleration indicates very modest performance, best suited for low-speed urban environments.
Fuel Economy
With a combined fuel consumption of 5.3 l/100 km, its economy is reasonable, but it doesn't offer a significant advantage over the more powerful TCe engines, especially considering its performance limitations.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Exceptional value for money in its segment
- • Practical and spacious interior for a compact car
- • Comfortable ride quality, especially over rough surfaces
- • Efficient TCe engine options for daily use
- • Robust and simple design, contributing to reliability
Cons:
- • Basic interior materials and limited premium features
- • Low Euro NCAP safety rating due to lack of advanced driver aids
- • 1.0 SCe base engine is underpowered for anything beyond city driving
- • Not a performance-oriented vehicle, handling is adequate but unexciting
- • Some road and wind noise at higher speeds
