4.8 V12 (340 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

Offers strong, smooth V12 performance suitable for effortless grand touring, though the automatic transmission can feel less engaging than a manual.

Fuel Economy

As expected for a large V12 from this era, fuel economy is poor, making it an expensive car to run in terms of fuel consumption.

Best Use Case: Highway cruising and long-distance grand touring, where its power and comfort can be fully appreciated.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Elegant, understated Pininfarina styling
  • • Smooth and powerful V12 engine for grand touring
  • • Luxurious and comfortable 2+2 interior
  • • Relatively rare and unique Ferrari model

Cons:

  • • High running and maintenance costs typical of classic Ferraris
  • • Automatic transmission can feel dated compared to modern units
  • • Not as overtly sporty or iconic as other Ferrari models
  • • Complex fuel injection system (Bosch K-Jetronic) can be tricky to maintain
