1.6i 16V (105 Hp) 4WD Verdict:

Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

The 105 Hp engine feels underpowered, especially with the added weight and drag of the 4WD system, resulting in sluggish acceleration.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is surprisingly similar to the more powerful 124 Hp 4WD, indicating less efficiency for the power output.

Best Use Case: Best suited for city driving and light rural use where 4WD is desired for traction, but high performance is not a priority.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Unique and distinctive styling for its era
  • • Renowned Honda reliability and build quality
  • • Practical and versatile interior for its compact size
  • • Available Real Time 4WD system offers good traction
  • • Good visibility from the driver's seat

Cons:

  • • Limited engine options, none particularly powerful
  • • Fuel economy could be better for some 4WD trims
  • • Interior materials are basic compared to modern standards
  • • Dated safety features compared to newer vehicles
  • • Rear drum brakes on some models
