Internationally, the MPV has been marketed as the Mitsubishi Space Wagon, Mitsubishi Nimbus and Mitsubishi Expo — and as the Dodge and Plymouth Colt Vista Wagon, as captive imports in North America, and as the Eagle Vista Wagon in Canada. It has also been manufactured under license as the Hyundai Santamo and Mitsubishi Savrin in Asia....(Read more on Wikipedia)

Expert Note:
The Hyundai Santamo generation was not officially tested by Euro NCAP. As a vehicle from the late 1990s, its passive safety features would be rudimentary compared to modern standards, likely offering basic protection.

2.0 i 16V 4X4 (139 Hp) Verdict:

Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

The 4x4 system adds traction and capability, but the increased weight noticeably impacts acceleration, making it the slowest variant. Power delivery is still adequate for general use.

Fuel Economy

Fuel consumption is expected to be the highest among the trims due to the added weight and drivetrain losses of the 4x4 system. Not an economical choice.

Best Use Case: Rural / All-weather driving

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Spacious 7-seater interior
  • • Practical and versatile family vehicle
  • • Affordable to purchase and maintain (due to Mitsubishi parts)
  • • Decent ride comfort for its class

Cons:

  • • Dated design and interior materials
  • • Modest performance, especially with automatic/4x4
  • • High fuel consumption by modern standards
  • • Limited safety features compared to newer vehicles
  • • Lack of modern amenities
