The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, colloquially known as the G-Wagon or G-Wagen , is a four-wheel drive luxury SUV sold by Mercedes-Benz. Originally developed as a military off-roader, later more luxurious models were added to the line. In certain markets, it was sold under the Puch name as Puch G until 2000.

300 GD (88 Hp) 4WD Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

Despite similar horsepower to the 230 G, the 300 GD's diesel engine delivers superior low-end torque, making it a more capable and robust choice for serious off-roading and towing, albeit with slower acceleration.

Fuel Economy

As a diesel, it generally offers better fuel economy than its petrol counterpart, especially in demanding conditions, though still relatively thirsty by modern standards. Its efficiency is a key advantage for extended off-road excursions.

Best Use Case: Heavy off-road / Utility
