Performance Verdict
Offers adequate power for daily driving, but the automatic transmission and lower output 1.8L engine mean performance is more relaxed than sporty. Suitable for cruising.
Fuel Economy
While the 1.8L engine should be the most economical, the automatic transmission and reported figures suggest it might not be significantly more efficient than the V6s in real-world driving. The provided fuel figure is exceptionally high and likely not representative of typical use.
Best Use Case:
City / Commuting
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Distinctive and attractive styling
- • Engaging V6 engine options (especially MIVEC)
- • Good handling for a FWD coupe
- • Unique JDM appeal and rarity
- • Generally reliable Mitsubishi engineering
Cons:
- • Primarily Right-Hand Drive (RHD) only, limiting accessibility
- • Parts availability can be challenging outside Japan
- • Interior design is dated by modern standards
- • Fuel economy can be high, especially for V6 models (and given data points)
- • Front-wheel drive might deter some sports car purists
