2.5 DTi (174 Hp) 4WD Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

Offers adequate performance for daily driving and light towing, though not particularly quick for its size. The automatic transmission can feel a bit sluggish.

Fuel Economy

Moderate fuel consumption for a large 4WD automatic SUV, making it a reasonable choice for mixed driving, albeit not class-leading.

Best Use Case: Mixed driving, light off-roading, towing, and family use where convenience of an automatic is preferred.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Spacious 7-seater interior with flexible seating
  • • Strong towing capacity (especially 4WD models)
  • • Capable off-road performance for a family SUV
  • • Robust, body-on-frame construction
  • • Good fuel economy from the manual diesel option

Cons:

  • • High fuel consumption for the V6 petrol engines
  • • Large turning circle can make city maneuvering difficult
  • • Some interior plastics feel dated compared to rivals
  • • Known issues with DPF/EGR on early diesel models
  • • Automatic transmission can be sluggish
