Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

Offers adequate power for daily driving and highway cruising, but lacks the exhilarating punch of the V8 models.

Fuel Economy

Better fuel economy than the V8s, but still relatively high for a V6, reflecting the vehicle's weight.

Best Use Case: Entry-level luxury SUV, daily commuting, and general family use where V8 power isn't a necessity.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Excellent performance, especially with V8 engines
  • • Luxurious and well-appointed interior

  • • High towing capacity and robust build quality
  • • Distinctive and timeless Porsche styling

Cons:

  • • High fuel consumption, particularly for V8 models
  • • Expensive maintenance and parts costs
  • • Some common reliability issues (e.g., coolant pipes, cardan shaft)
  • • Heavy steering feel may not appeal to all drivers
  • • Significant depreciation from new, though good used value
