The BMW 6 Series is a range of grand tourers produced by BMW since 1976. It is the successor to the E9 Coupé and is currently in its fourth generation.

Fuel Economy

The least fuel-efficient of the 650i variants, making it a costly choice for regular use, especially in urban environments.

Best Use Case: Cruising on open roads, where the V8's power can be enjoyed without constant concern for fuel stops.

  • • Comfortable ride quality, ideal for long-distance grand touring.

Cons:

  • • Early N63 V8 engines (407hp/400hp) can suffer from significant reliability issues (oil consumption, timing chain, injector problems).
  • • High purchase price and significant depreciation.
  • • Rear seats are very cramped, making it more of a 2+2 than a true four-seater.
  • • Fuel economy for V8 models is poor, leading to high running costs.
