The first-generation Enclave, the Saturn Outlook, the original GMC Acadia, and the first-generation Chevrolet Traverse all shared the GM Lambda platform.
The Enclave replaced both of Buick's SUVs, the minivan-based Rendezvous and the truck-based Rainier, as well as the Terraza minivan. The second-generation Enclave was officially revealed at the 2017 New York International Auto Show....(Read more on Wikipedia)

3.6 V6 (288 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 7 stars

Performance Verdict

The 3.6L LLT V6 provides adequate power for daily driving and highway cruising, offering smooth acceleration for a vehicle of its size. It's not a performance engine but handles the Enclave's weight well.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is average for a large, naturally aspirated V6 SUV of its era, with urban consumption around 13.8 l/100 km. It's not particularly efficient by modern standards but competitive for its class at the time.

Best Use Case: Highway cruising and family road trips, where its smooth power delivery and comfortable ride can be fully appreciated.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Spacious and comfortable interior with 7-8 seat capacity
  • • Smooth and quiet ride quality, typical of Buick
  • • Generous cargo space, especially with seats folded
  • • Refined powertrain for its class
  • • Available AWD for enhanced traction

Cons:

  • • Fuel economy is only average for its segment
  • • Large exterior dimensions can make parking challenging
  • • Interior design, while comfortable, can feel dated compared to newer rivals
  • • Some known issues with the 3.6L V6 (e.g., timing chains, water pump)
  • • Steering can feel somewhat numb
