5.4 V8 Triton (235 Hp) 4x4 Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The most capable option, combining the stronger 5.4L V8 with 4x4 and automatic transmission for excellent towing, hauling, and all-weather utility.

Fuel Economy

As expected, fuel economy is the lowest among the lineup due to the larger engine, 4x4, and automatic transmission, but it's a trade-off for capability.

Best Use Case: Heavy-duty work, serious towing, off-road adventures, and any situation demanding maximum power and traction.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Robust V8 engine options for strong towing and hauling
  • • Durable and reliable workhorse reputation
  • • Spacious regular cab for its class
  • • Available 4x4 for off-road capability and traction

Cons:

  • • Poor fuel economy across all trims
  • • Basic interior comfort and features by modern standards
  • • Large turning radius can be cumbersome in tight spaces
  • • Ride quality can be harsh when unloaded
