3.0 V6 (146 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

The most powerful option, providing smooth V6 power. While 12.5s to 100km/h isn't rapid by modern standards, it offered strong, relaxed performance for its time.

Fuel Economy

At 10.2 l/100 km, fuel consumption is higher, expected for a V6 with an automatic transmission from this period.

Best Use Case: Highway cruising and comfortable long-distance travel, where the V6's smoothness shines.

Pros:

  • • Spacious and comfortable interior for its class
  • • Good value for money compared to Japanese rivals
  • • Wide range of engine options, including a smooth V6

  • • Distinctive styling for its time

Cons:

  • • Handling not as refined as some competitors
  • • Fuel economy on larger engines can be high

  • • Lack of advanced safety features (common for the era)
  • • Interior materials could feel less premium than some rivals
