2.2 e-XDi 220 (187 Hp) 4WD Automatic Verdict:

Rating 4 stars

Performance Verdict

This detuned 187 Hp engine, paired with an automatic 4WD system, still offers respectable performance for most tasks. While slightly less powerful, it remains capable for general utility and light towing.

Fuel Economy

The slightly lower power output might translate to marginally better fuel efficiency in some scenarios, but overall consumption will be comparable to the higher-powered automatic variants.

Best Use Case: General utility, light-to-medium towing, and drivers who value a robust 4WD system with the convenience of an automatic.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Excellent value for money compared to rivals
  • • Strong towing capacity (up to 2600 kg with brakes)
  • • Spacious interior and large cargo bed
  • • Robust and proven 2.2-liter diesel engine
  • • Comfortable ride for a ladder-frame pick-up

Cons:

  • • Fuel economy, while reasonable, isn't class-leading
  • • Interior materials can feel less premium than some competitors
  • • Limited advanced driver-assistance systems on base models
  • • Ride can still be bouncy when unladen, typical for pick-ups
