V 5-door (Y61, facelift 2004) Overview:
Nissan Patrol (V 5-door (Y61, facelift 2004)). With 350 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. At around 2350 kg, it’s on the heavier side. All‑wheel drive provides excellent grip, ideal for off‑road use. A rugged vehicle built to handle rough terrains and challenging driving conditions. With seating for 7, it’s perfect for larger families.
Performance Verdict
Offers decent power for highway cruising and general use, but lacks the low-end grunt of the diesels for serious off-roading. Manual transmission provides more control.
Fuel Economy
High fuel consumption, typical for a large displacement petrol engine in a heavy 4x4. Expect frequent fuel stops.
Best Use Case:
General utility and occasional off-road use, suitable for markets where petrol is preferred or diesel is less available.

- • Exceptional off-road capability and rugged durability.
- • Spacious interior with 7-seat option for large families or gear.

- • High towing capacity suitable for heavy loads.
- • Strong aftermarket support for modifications and upgrades.
Cons:
- • Poor fuel economy across most engine options, especially petrols.
- • On-road refinement and handling are not its strong suits.
- • Some known reliability issues with the 3.0 Di (ZD30) engine.
- • Large size can be challenging in urban environments and parking.
