Volkswagen said the name CC stands for Comfort Coupe, recognizing its combination of a coupe-like profile with four rather than two doors. While based on the Passat, and sharing its wheelbase, the CC is 27 mm longer, 50 mm lower, and 36 mm wider than the Passat....(Read more on Wikipedia)

The 2.0T in the CC is the infamous ea888 generation 1 (CCTA engine code) with the timing chain tensioner and chain stretch problems. This is the same engine is in the MK6 GTI. By the 2013 model year, you should have the new tensioner, but  excessive chain stretch is a problem. Ask them for the carfax or maintenance history to see if it’s had any timing service done, but also see if you can read me

Thanks, I’m looking for some feedback as well for years 13-17. I sold my 13’ 2.5L Passat to my step-son , it has 250k on it and still drives like it did when I got it . I drove a cc pre pandemic and remember it being a fun car with the 2.0T. We are simply looking for another commuter to put less miles on our SUVs . My wife has a 45 mile round trip once a week and mines is a little less once a week

A lot of the vehicles on the list only have uncommon/minor issues, while other cars that have massive problems aren't on the list. Don't use this lol.

Love how Lexus and Acura ain’t on here. But this is unreliable. What are they considering reliability? A faulty sensor is not the same as an engine failing, and is not the same as my fuel gauge not registering proper amount.

  • • Stylish and distinctive four-door coupe design
  • • Comfortable and refined ride quality, especially on highways
  • • Premium interior feel with high-quality materials
  • • Wide range of efficient and powerful engine options, particularly the TDI diesels
  • • Good highway cruiser with stable handling

Cons:

  • • Ride can be firm on sportier trims or larger wheels
  • • Based on an aging platform by 2012, despite the facelift
