👍 POSITIVE
I would get a 2014-2016? XC60 with an inline six cylinder engine - durable engine w/ a long life timing chain.
👎 NEGATIVE
Prioritize T5 AWD or a well-maintained T6 with a complete service history. You might prefer a 2018–2019 refresh update if prices are similar; these tend to have fewer issues than early 2016–2017 models. However, a clean 2017 with records could still be a good purchase. A pre-purchase inspection is NOT optional, and I recommend using a Volvo dealership. Have the dealership run the VIN to retrieve

Joining the conversation bc I’m weighing basically the same options right now too. Curious to hear what everyone’s got to say!

2017 or newer xc90/xc60 bc anything before that has piston ring issues but a 2017 xc90 or newer has the spa design which I love so I would recommend it more
👎 NEGATIVE
My 2017 XC90 has had numerous problems. I had to replace the starter motor and the turn signal control system. And the door locks often freeze shut in the winter. The on call system is also broken, which I haven't replaced yet. I've had it since 2017 and don't even drive much. Total km is only around 60k. I later learned that 2016 and 2017 model years are considered bad years of the XC90. I

I have a 2021 XC60 T6 that I bought used in 2022. It was certified and we purchased the extended warranty. It now has 83,000 miles and has not had a single problem, has been a dream for the past (almost) four years.

If you’re interested in drive comfort, safety and looks that last 10-15yrs Volvo would be my choice. I’ve had two xc60’s and one xc90. My fist was a 21 xc60 inscription w pilot pack, while driving home one evening in winter with my little one in the front passenger seat playing on an iPad, it was dark and snowy and about 4 degrees. A deer ran out from behind a barn and in front of the vehicle, I d

I will say right now, not to discredit anyone else here but if you’re dead set on keeping your next car for 10-15 years, the Volvo will NOT be big-problem-free for 10 years. I LOVE the XC60. I LOVE the look and interior fit and finish, i think it’s genuinely the best looking crossover/SUV on the entire market handsdown. Anything past the T5 and B5 option will inevitably have issues. The B6 is

I had a 2020 Xc40 and traded it in for a 2023 Outback. I liked the lower monthly payment and being able to use regular gas, but it felt like a downgrade in addition to a few quirks it had. After owning it 11 months, I traded it in for a CPO 2021 Xc60. I bought an extended warranty and a prepaid maintenance plan, so I haven't had any out of pocket expenses. The driver's side mirror has been a PITA

I have a 23 xc60. It was the replacement for my 2011 Outback saw a sad end (crash). The 2011 Outback had a nice fit and finish. I don’t think the insides of the newer Outbacks are as nice as the older ones. One of my best friends has the 25 Outback. It’s nice, but it’s not Volvo nice. Also, the Volvo drives better in the snow. I’ve had no major issues with my Volvo. The drivers handle on the insid
