1.6 HDi (90 Hp) L2 Verdict:

Rating 2 stars

Performance Verdict

Very sluggish, especially with the longer L2 wheelbase and any significant load, making highway driving a challenge.

Fuel Economy

Decent fuel economy, but the lack of power means it will be working hard, potentially reducing real-world efficiency.

Best Use Case: Light urban duties, very budget-conscious buyers, minimal passenger/cargo loads.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Enormous and highly versatile interior space for passengers and cargo
  • • Strong and fuel-efficient diesel engine options (HDi 128hp, 136hp, 163hp)
  • • Practical and robust for large families or commercial use
  • • Comfortable ride for a van-derived MPV
  • • Good visibility from the driver's seat

Cons:

  • • Van-like driving dynamics and handling, not as refined as car-based MPVs
  • • Lower Euro NCAP safety rating compared to contemporary passenger cars
  • • Petrol engines are significantly less fuel-efficient
  • • 1.6 HDi (90 Hp) engine is underpowered for a vehicle of this size, especially when loaded
  • • Interior quality is utilitarian rather than luxurious
