2.0 16V (140 Hp) L2 9 Seat Verdict:

Rating 2 stars

Performance Verdict

Decent acceleration, but the L2 9-seat configuration will severely impact real-world performance when loaded.

Fuel Economy

Very high fuel consumption, making it an expensive and less practical choice for a large, frequently used MPV.

Best Use Case: Occasional large group transport, short trips, for those who specifically avoid diesel.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Enormous and highly versatile interior space for passengers and cargo
  • • Strong and fuel-efficient diesel engine options (HDi 128hp, 136hp, 163hp)
  • • Practical and robust for large families or commercial use
  • • Comfortable ride for a van-derived MPV
  • • Good visibility from the driver's seat

Cons:

  • • Van-like driving dynamics and handling, not as refined as car-based MPVs
  • • Lower Euro NCAP safety rating compared to contemporary passenger cars
  • • Petrol engines are significantly less fuel-efficient
  • • 1.6 HDi (90 Hp) engine is underpowered for a vehicle of this size, especially when loaded
  • • Interior quality is utilitarian rather than luxurious
