Overall Rating
GMC Jimmy:
The Chevrolet Blazer and its badge engineered GMC Jimmy counterpart are compact/mid-size SUVs manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet and GMC from the 1983 through 2005 model years, over two generations – until the early 1990s alongside these brands' full-size SUVs with near identical nameplates, but lacking removable hardtops. LWB Overview:
GMC Jimmy (LWB). With 339 Nm of torque, it offers ample pulling power. With a weight of 1875 kg, it falls in the mid‑range. All‑wheel drive provides excellent grip, ideal for off‑road use. A sport utility vehicle offering higher ground clearance and versatile cargo space. Seating for 5 makes it ideal for daily use.
The 1994 GMC Jimmy LWB was produced before Euro NCAP testing began. While it met contemporary US safety standards, its passive safety features are basic by modern benchmarks, lacking advanced airbags or structural rigidity of newer vehicles.
Diamond 4.3i V6 (190 Hp) 4x4 Automatic Verdict:
Performance Verdict
Combining the robust 4.3L V6 with 4x4 capability, this trim offers strong performance for varied conditions, including off-road and towing. The 190 Hp is well-suited for its intended utility.
Fuel Economy
The addition of 4x4 and the inherent V6 characteristics mean fuel economy is poor, particularly in urban and off-road scenarios. This is a trade-off for its capability.
