Nissan Altima V 3.5 (270 Hp) CVT
Overall Rating
Nissan Altima:
The Nissan Altima is a mid-size car manufactured by Nissan since 1992. It is a continuation of the Nissan Bluebird line, which began in 1955.
The Altima has historically been larger, more powerful, and more luxurious than the Nissan Sentra but less so than the Nissan Maxima. The first through fourth-generation cars were manufactured exclusively in the United States and officially sold in North and South America, along with the Middle East and Australia. For other markets, Nissan sold a related mid-size sedan called the Nissan Teana which was between the Altima and Maxima in terms of size. In 2013, the Teana became a rebadged version of the fifth-generation Altima....(Read more on Wikipedia)

3.5 (270 Hp) CVT Verdict:
Performance Verdict
Delivers robust acceleration and confident overtaking, transforming the Altima into a sportier sedan. The V6 provides a much more engaging drive.
Fuel Economy
Respectable fuel economy for a powerful V6, though naturally less efficient than the 2.5L. Still competitive within its segment.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- • Spacious and comfortable interior with 'Zero Gravity' seats
- • Excellent fuel economy with the 2.5L engine and CVT
- • Powerful and smooth V6 engine option (3.5L)
- • Smooth and quiet ride quality
- • Strong safety ratings from NHTSA
Cons:
- • CVT can exhibit a 'drone' under hard acceleration
- • Handling is competent but not as sporty as some rivals
- • Interior materials, while improved, can still feel less premium than competitors in some trims
- • Initial IIHS small overlap front crash test results were 'Poor'
