Performance Verdict

Provides strong acceleration and ample power for most tasks, making it a capable workhorse or daily driver without the added complexity of 4WD.

Fuel Economy

While still thirsty, the 2WD configuration offers a marginal improvement in fuel economy over the 4WD version, making it slightly more palatable for highway use.

Best Use Case: General hauling, highway cruising, and light-to-medium towing where 4WD is not a necessity, prioritizing raw petrol power.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Powerful engine options (both petrol and diesel)
  • • Excellent towing and hauling capabilities
  • • Robust build quality suitable for heavy-duty work

  • • Available 4WD for enhanced off-road and adverse weather conditions

Cons:

  • • Poor fuel economy, especially with the petrol V8
  • • Large size can be cumbersome in urban environments and parking
  • • Interior design might feel dated compared to newer rivals
  • • Limited rear passenger space in King Cab configuration
  • • No Euro NCAP safety rating available
