1.5i (105 Hp) Automatic Verdict:

Rating 7 stars

Performance Verdict

Offers adequate performance for daily commuting and city driving, though the 4-speed automatic transmission can feel dated and less responsive during spirited driving or highway overtakes.

Fuel Economy

Expected to deliver respectable fuel economy for its class, benefiting from the naturally aspirated K15B engine, though the older automatic transmission might slightly impact overall efficiency compared to modern units.

Best Use Case: City / Commuting

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Reliable K15B engine with proven track record
  • • Spacious interior and generous boot capacity (478l)
  • • Good fuel economy, especially with manual transmission
  • • Affordable and practical for daily use
  • • Benefits from Toyota's strong brand reputation and resale value

Cons:

  • • Performance can feel adequate rather than exciting
  • • Basic interior features and design compared to some rivals
  • • Lack of advanced safety features common in newer vehicles
