👍 POSITIVE
The diesels. I have an S90 D4 Inscription with the B&W. I service it annually and put 2 new tyres on every Winter. That's it.
👍 POSITIVE
2011-2015 --T6 3.0T. Any of the p3 models with the T6..not the troublesome t5...solid motor and trans. Good Build quality before the downhill fall
👍 POSITIVE
I bought a 2011 v50 2.4 fwd ten years ago and it’s been great. Only oil changes, cv axles and an ac compressor in a decade.
😐 NEUTRAL
Funny how no one is mentioning the most used engine across almost 4 different models The 3.2L engine used on the xc60,xc70,xc90,s80 and some others.
😐 NEUTRAL
In light of how this post has turned into a nuanced discussion of precisely which Volvo diesel is the most reliable Volvo, I *really* should have mentioned I live somewhere they haven’t sold a diesel that isn’t a semi truck in nearly 40 years.
👍 POSITIVE
Any D52 engine VEA2 diesel R5 petrols 1.6 HDI (if you take care of it) I consider trading in my 18 Berlingo 1.2 with 1200 miles for a V90 D4 with 120k, because I know these engines are reliable. Not sure about B4, though
👍 POSITIVE
Any 2.0 Volvo Diesel is reliable.
👎 NEGATIVE
For ppl saying any Diesel. Never ever buy with Powershift. They are actually cursed. Geartronic or Manual is fine.
👎 NEGATIVE
There aren't many options in US I guess. SPA gas ones are good, just don't take turbo-supercharger 2.0 with plugin hybrid - too complex to be considered reliable. Regular 2.0T in a small car should be fine. 3.0T are great, but AWD - Haldex isn't a component known for its longevity. They're solid though, just that they've been discontinued for good 10 years by now. Don't bother with 3.2 - fuel con
