2.0 16V (140 Hp) L1 9 Seat Verdict:

Rating 3 stars

Performance Verdict

Decent acceleration for a 9-seater, but the petrol engine will struggle more with a full load than a diesel.

Fuel Economy

Very high fuel consumption, making it an expensive option for a 9-seater, especially with frequent use.

Best Use Case: Short-distance shuttle, occasional large family trips where diesel is not preferred.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • • Enormous and highly versatile interior space for passengers and cargo
  • • Strong and fuel-efficient diesel engine options (HDi 128hp, 136hp, 163hp)
  • • Practical and robust for large families or commercial use
  • • Comfortable ride for a van-derived MPV
  • • Good visibility from the driver's seat

Cons:

  • • Van-like driving dynamics and handling, not as refined as car-based MPVs
  • • Lower Euro NCAP safety rating compared to contemporary passenger cars
  • • Petrol engines are significantly less fuel-efficient
  • • 1.6 HDi (90 Hp) engine is underpowered for a vehicle of this size, especially when loaded
  • • Interior quality is utilitarian rather than luxurious
