Since the original version in 1980, the car has grown in size and power with each generation. By mid-2011, almost 10 million Jettas have been produced and sold all over the world. The 2.0T in the CC is the infamous ea888 generation 1 (CCTA engine code) with the timing chain tensioner and chain stretch problems. This is the same engine is in the MK6 GTI. By the 2013 model year, you should have the new tensioner, but  excessive chain stretch is a problem. Ask them for the carfax or maintenance history to see if it’s had any timing service done, but also see if you can read me

Thanks, I’m looking for some feedback as well for years 13-17. I sold my 13’ 2.5L Passat to my step-son , it has 250k on it and still drives like it did when I got it . I drove a cc pre pandemic and remember it being a fun car with the 2.0T. We are simply looking for another commuter to put less miles on our SUVs . My wife has a 45 mile round trip once a week and mines is a little less once a week
👍 POSITIVE
I had a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SE with the 2.5L. I put 48K on the car without a single issue, Also my sister has a 2012 Passat S with the 2.5L and shes currently around 60K and has not had an issue. The Volkswagen CPO warranty works at any Volkswagen dealership not just the dealer you purchase from. Personally i really liked the 2.5 Jetta i had that i ended up buying a 2014 Jetta GLI so i could
👍 POSITIVE
I worked with VW for a number of years before going to Honda. I remember when VW redesigned the Jetta in 2011. The 2.5L is an interesting motor. It is not the most efficient but it runs like a champ. The only complaint I heard from the Master Tech was that it was louder than it should be. The CPO warranty from VW is good at any VW dealer. If a certain dealer tells you that it is only good
👍 POSITIVE
I sort of have a bias but I love VW, they make amazing vehicles. I currently have 2 VWs and as long as you keep up with basic maintenance and replace things that obviously come up with some wear and tear it’ll last you for a long time. What engine does the Jetta you’re looking at come with?

You can get 3.99%-60 on the 2025 Elantra whereas 4.99%-60 on the Jetta this month, and the Elantra has that 10 year warranty whereas VW warranty is short, so between those two right now the Elantra has the edge. All that said, if you can plug-in, consider one of the EV lease deals that are available right now. You can lease a 42K EV for the same as a 30K gas car, it's better than 0% financing. Li

That's the PCV Valve, on the 2.5L motor it's integrated into the valve cover and not available as a separate part. If the PCV is bad you will need to replace the valve cover
😐 NEUTRAL
There are pcv rebuilds out there, but just go to FCP Euro and get the valve cover and gasket. They have a great lifetime warranty on practically everything they sell.

The part you researched is the correct for the circled area. You should replace the MAF if it causes an error
😐 NEUTRAL
You have a 2.5 liter engine probably the CBT engine code I would think. What you are looking for is the PCV valve as others have said. I recommend getting the whole valve cover as just replacing the diaphragm doesn't work as they always break after 2 weeks or less. The PCV valve you have looked up is for at 2.0tsi engine I believe CCTA code Also not all 2.5 have MAF sensors most just have MAP sen
