On-Board Diagnostics
OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) codes are diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) used by modern vehicles to detect and report problems in the engine, transmission, emissions system, and other critical components. These codes are generated when the vehicle’s computer (ECU) detects something out of the normal range.
There are thousands of OBD codes, each starting with a letter (such as P for Powertrain, B for Body, C for Chassis, or U for Network) followed by a series of numbers. Mechanics and car owners use these codes to identify specific issues and guide repairs.
Use the search box to enter an OBD code (e.g., P0300, C1234) and find out what it means, what might be causing it, and how it can be resolved.
